bus drivers

Just wondering about everyones opinion about your average city bus driver.

I think they are cool. Sitting all day, deciding wheter they will drive on time or not today. Talking to people, or decieding to not talk... And yet these people manage to drive the bus every day again. I think thats awesome considering their work must be more boring than watching birds on timessquare

RE: bus drivers

Well here it seems quite a difficult job. Especially rush hour. Lot's of schoolchildren who open the back doors and get on without paying and pushing people out of the way.

Maybe it's because I am in London though Icon_smile

I they receive some abuse here too but I like driving so just driving a bus around would probably appeal to me. Haha, Especially one of those bendy buses Icon_smile

Yep, Those buses are 18 metres long. They probably do receive more.

RE: bus drivers

They say it drives the same as a singly bendy bus. I believe the tires in the back also steer a bit. Would love to give that a go! Drifting a bendy dendy bendy bus anyone?

The average city bus driver: There ok, untill you get stuck behind their bus, or they pull out on you.

All you lucky folk with your cars Sad

I am taking lessons and got a lessons booked at 1:30pm every Friday. Looking forward to it. My instructor says I should book my test for mid June. So by end of June I could be on the road. Be very afraid Wink

easyairbus - Just saw those screenshots. Anyone been killed by one of them yet? Bus drivers need a medal for driving that thing! Icon_eek

RE: bus drivers

I've never heard of anyone being killed by those things.. nor anyone being eaten by them.. But yes, they sure are big massive machines. The city of Utrecht had to choose for their busiest bus route.. Or, buy these machines and have them driving every 3 minutes.. Or build a streetcar line, and have the city streets being broken up for 2 years. Well, they ve picked the busses (thank god haha) I must admit though, that I ve never been on them yet. Not quite sure wheter its a lack of interest, or the fear of getting into a fight with such a big fellow
